Message from the Master - May 2012
Brethren,
Spring is finally here! After the stillness of the long winter, nature wakes us up to engage us in her beauty, and our surroundings come alive and expand our awareness.
Masonry is a living, breathing entity. One which, when nurtured, will grow and provide us with light and truth on our Masonic journey.
Every one of us is entitled to his own path within Masonry
and it is our duty and commitment to help other brethren through brotherly love and affection.
As we embrace this season of renewal I ask that those who have not been to lodge in a while come out
and join your brethren in fraternal communication, come see what a great place your lodge has become.
If you are not coming out due to transportation issues, please contact me directly and we will see if we can arrange a ride for you.
Last but not least, a great time was had by all who attended Grand Lodge in Atlantic City this year.
Kudos go out to our very own RW Hal Fischer, DWA Karl Petry, Bro. John Cataldo and of course our Senior Warden Bro. Jason Vigorito.
They did a phenomenal job with the arrangements and hospitality room.
The real secrets of Masonry are never told, not even from mouth to ear. For the real secret of Masonry is spoken to your heart and from it to the heart of your brother.
Never the language made for tongue may speak it, it is uttered only in the eye in those manifestations of that love which a man has for his friend, which passeth all other loves."
(South Dakota Masonic Messenger, Feb. 1975)
Fraternally,
Vincent Caruso
Worshipful Master
Greetings from thw West:
Your lodge appeals to your charitable nature and reminds you of your solemn Masonic oaths.
Our brother, Bro. Luis Torres, Junior Deacon of Euclid Lodge #136 in Hasbrouck Heights,
has asked our District’s brethren for financial support regarding his five-year old son, Liam.
Liam suffers from Cerebral Palsy and hip dysplasia, requiring a specialized hospital bed for his condition,
which the government, insurances, and various charities refuse to fund. Leave it to us Masons to get the job done!
Our Worshipful Master and officers have enthusiastically taken up Liam’s cause.
We will be holding fundraisers to attend, and if you’d like to personally donate money—as some of us already have—it would be heartening.
Fraternally,
Jason Vigorito
Senior Warden
